Strong Turnout at Halifax Luncheon
DRI Canada was very pleased with the turnout at our professional development luncheon held in Halifax, Nova Scotia on May 6.
Dr. Rose Ricciardelli delivered a fantastic presentation concerning the connection between leadership and mental health in public safety.
A member of the Royal Society of Canada and a fellow of the Canadian Academy of Health Sciences, Dr. Ricciardelli has published 18 books, more than 310 journal articles, and 75 chapters in the areas of police, firefighting, correctional workers, public safety communicators, and criminalized persons, and wellness. She teaches at Memorial University in Newfoundland.
The presentation led to a lively discussion and question and answer session among the certified professionals in attendance.
It also proved to be a great networking opportunity with DRI Canada board members who were in attendance.
Watch for other professional development luncheons taking place in cities across Canada this year. You can find details in the "Events" section of the website.
